The Green Room Project
Complimentary Weekly Community for 1:1 Mentorship Artists
The work may be personal, but you don’t have to do it alone.
The Green Room Project is a weekly group gathering exclusively for artists currently participating in 1:1 Mentorship with The Encore Project.
It’s a space to step outside of the audition room, rehearsal studio, classroom, or stage and connect with other artists navigating many of the same things you are.
Through honest conversation, shared reflection, and community, The Green Room Project creates space for the conversations we don’t always get to have about what it really means to be an artist.
Included with your 1:1 Mentorship experience.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Jodeci Milhouse is a Broadway performer, director, choreographer, educator, singer-songwriter, independent recording artist, and the founder of The Encore Project.
Throughout her career, Jodeci has built a multifaceted life in the arts, performing on some of the country’s most renowned stages while also creating and releasing her own music as a singer-songwriter and independent recording artist. Her work spans Broadway, regional theatre, concert dance, television and film, national and international touring, and original music. Most recently, she made her Broadway debut in A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical. Additional credits include Mona in New York City Center’s Encores! The Tap Dance Kid, Deena Jones in Dreamgirls at Baltimore Center Stage, and Dancin’ Doll in Signature Theatre’s filmed production of After Midnight. She has also toured nationally and internationally with the critically acclaimed percussive dance company SOLE Defined.
Her career has allowed her to work alongside some of the industry’s most respected artists, including Tony Award-winning director Kenny Leon, Schele Williams, Christopher Renshaw, Tony Goldwyn, Jared Grimes, and Rickey Tripp.
But Jodeci’s work in the entertainment industry has also given her an intimate understanding of what exists beyond the résumé—the rejection, comparison, uncertainty, pressure to perform, and constant relationship between an artist’s identity and their work.
That experience sparked a growing passion for the mental and emotional well-being of performing artists.
Jodeci believes artists deserve the same level of intention in caring for their minds, confidence, identity, and overall well-being that they are taught to give their craft. She created The Encore Project to provide a space for the conversations that are too often missing from traditional artistic training and to help performers build healthier, more sustainable relationships with themselves and their careers.
Through mentorship, education, and honest conversation, Jodeci is committed to helping artists navigate the industry without losing themselves inside of it.
